Amanda Seyfried is officially a New Yorker! The actress bought a property in the Big Apple because it’s closer than LA to London, where her beau, Mamma Mia! co-star Dominic Cooper, lives.
She told Britain’s OK! magazine: “I bought an apartment in New York but I can’t move in until April because it needs renovating. I was hoping to move there now. But it’s OK. It’s worth it. And I have my relationship overseas, too. So New York’s just so much easier than Los Angeles as I’m always going to London. It’s nice to be closer — even if it’s still a long flight. Eleven hours is different from seven.”
The blonde beauty has previously said she and Dominic were well suited because they were so similar in both looks and personalities. She said: “We both look like frogs, with our wide-set eyes, we’re both indecisive and neither of us has a lot of willpower. When we met, I just found him funny. It was like we were the same person — except he’s British and a man!”

The Henricksons will have to do without Sarah soon, as Amanda Seyfried is set to leave the HBO series Big Love to focus on her burgeoning movie career.
“She’s been exploring her movie career for a couple of years now, and we’ve been giving her a lot of room to do that,” says Big Love creator Will Scheffer. “I know having a commitment to a show for six months definitely cuts into her ability to pursue that career.”
Seyfried, 24, has played Bill’s (Bill Paxton) eldest daughter Sarah with first wife Barb (Jeanne Tripplehorn) since Big Love’s 2006 debut. After Mamma Mia and Jennifer’s Body, she is set to appear in the forthcoming film version of A Woman of No Importance and Gary Winick’s Letters To Juliet, which she’s shooting in the Italian city of Verona.
Seyfried was supposed to play the lead in Zack Snyder’s new film Sucker Punch, but had to drop out due to scheduling conflicts with Big Love, who recently snagged its third straight Golden Globe nom for Best Drama Series, something that apparently is not enough for the young actress.
“She’s moving away,” confirms Scheffer, adding that Seyfried’s character, who’ll get married on the third episode, will bid adieu on this season’s eighth and penultimate installments. Her pregnancy arc last season, which ultimately ended in miscarriage then later a wedding proposal, was one of the season’s best. The question is, with her departure, who’ll step up to fill her shoes? Teeny? Cara Lynn?
Nevertheless, Sarah is still in attendance when Big Love returns to HBO January 10.

Amanda Seyfried is ashamed of kissing Megan Fox on-screen? Seyfried doesn’t want her mother to see her kissing Megan. Amanda was mortified when her parents insisted on watching ‘Jennifer’s Body’ in which Amanda and Megan share a steamy encounter.
Amanda Seyfried: “It was my first time doing a real kissing scene with a woman. It is just weird. It is a woman. With a woman’s smell – soft and floral-y – and maybe the pheromones are different. Something about it felt uncomfortable for me.”
Amanda added: “My mom and dad have just seen a film of mine with nudity. My mom saw me have sex with two different types of people on screen. She knows it’s acting but it’s not necessarily OK with me.I have a love scene with Julianne Moore in ‘Chloe’. When you are done with the scene, you just think, ‘Oh God, I can do anything. I have just had sex with a woman!’ – via Monster & Critics

Actor Dominic Cooper has earned himself a reputation as something of a lothario but insists there is only one woman in his life – his Mamma Mia! co-star Amanda Seyfried.
The pair are enduring a long-distance relationship, with Dominic in England and Amanda at home in the States.
‘Amanda and I are still very much together,’ Dominic, 31, said at the Vogue and Bulgari-sponsored Save The Children party in London
I’m working in Dorset on my new film and she’s out in LA.
‘It’s tough but we talk all the time and will see each other in a few weeks.’
He got together with Amanda, 23, after ditching Joanna Carolan, 29, who had been his girlfriend for 13 years.
The star earned his reputation as a romeo when I caught him flirting with actress Hayley Atwell, 27, shortly before he struck up a friendship with Ruth Negga, also 27, his co-star in the National Theatre production of Phedre.
Dominic is making the movie Tamara Drewe with Stephen Frears and Gemma Arterton. ‘We all have a great laugh,’ he said.
