Yahoo Movies took a look at some of the best movies of the year so far, and they have picked Channing Tatum and Amanda Seyfried’s rain-soaked lip lock in ‘Dear John‘ as the winner in their “Best Kiss” category.

The first kiss shared by stars Amanda Seyfried and Channing Tatum, who portray Savannah and John, a college student and a young Army sergeant who fall madly in love with one another over spring break. A few days before John returns to base and deploys for the Middle East, he and Savannah realize that they’re meant to be together once he visits her at her volunteer worksite. When the sky opens and heavy rains begin to soak them, they seek shelter in each other’s arms, and before you know it, they’re entangled in a passionate embrace and share one of Hollywood’s most romantic kisses.

Fans didn’t get a vote in Yahoo’s contest, BUT you do get to vote every day through August 6th for Chan and Amanda for this year’s Teen Choice Awards.

I’ve added over 500 captures of Amanda’s latest movie out on DVD, ‘Dear John’. This movie makes me cry every single time I see it. I believe it’s Amanda’s facial expressions when she cries that gets me, but overall great movie!

I don’t know which ending I like best the one where she ends up with John or the one that is true to the book and ends up with Tim.

Stepping out for a promotional appearance, Amanda Seyfried was spotted at the London, England premiere of “Dear John” on Tuesday (March 30).

Looking lovely in a dazzling mini dress and heels, the “Mean Girls” actress posed for several pictures solo and then with her hunky co-star, Channing Tatum.

In related news, Ms Seyfried shared with press how one of her songs ended up on the “Dear John” soundtrack. She told, “It was a happy accident. The director asked me to bring my guitar on set and I ended up singing a song that I’d written, which ended up on the soundtrack.”
